Survey: Tech budgets growing

The percentage of companies that increased their technology budgets rose in the past year as corporate executives also became more concerned about skilled-worker shortages, a new poll said.
The 2014 Chief Information Officer Survey, released Friday by the U.S. division of the global head hunting and outsourcing firm Harvey Nash, in Wayne, found that the number of companies that raised technology budgets in the past year grew at the fastest rate since 2006, as business confidence returned and companies played catch-up with rivals.
