KBC Ireland

The Background

KBC Group is an integrated bancassurance group which operates across Europe and to a lesser extent in the USA and South East Asia. Headquartered in Brussels, KBC is one of the top three financial institutions in Belgium and has had a presence in Ireland since 1978.

KBC Ireland provides business and personal banking services to customers throughout Ireland with locations in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

Already working with KBCI as a preferred supplier providing IT staff, KBCI experiencing a spike in demand due to their serious expansion plans recognised a need to improve their current recruitment process. As a proven supplier HN partnered with KBCI as their recruitment partner to ensure delivery of a flexible staffing model matching their growth plans.

The Challenge

KBC had a large supplier base which was proving ineffective and costly. KBCI presented HN with a a number of issues to solve;

The Solution

KBCI appointed Harvey Nash in 2012 as their Managed Service Provider for IT operations providing them with an On-Site Delivery Manager to manage the service along with a dedicated resourcing team.

What We Did

Upon completing a full audit and health check the Harvey Nash onsite Delivery Manager worked closely with KBCI‘s management implementing a new recruitment process, technical assessment, effecting screening process, ensuring quality contractors.

Not only improving the service to KBCI, Harvey Nash also enhanced the candidate experience by implementing an on-barding process, regular one to one meetings, contractor events and information clinics.

The Results

KBC now have a well-oiled, cost-effective recruitment process in-line with IT requirements.

Harvey Nash has reduced the Interview: Placement ratio to an average of 2:1 and in some cases 1:1.

Harvey Nash has standardised the rates for all suppliers resulting in real tangible cost savings for the bank as well as accurate reporting and MI.

Leading international Oil & Gas company

Service: Contract and Payroll Management

As a global Oil & Gas giant, our client relied heavily on a large number of contractors. But with no one keeping an eye on them all, our client was at serious risk of legal and financial fall-out. In 2010, Harvey Nash were brought on board to take control of our client’s entire UK contractor community. Three years later, and we’ve transitioned over 300 contractors to new compliant contracts and manage the payroll of over 600 contractors. We’ve made huge cost savings for our client, as well as delivering a comprehensive Contractor Care Programme that’s meant that 100% of contractors now feel engaged. We’ve won two Kelly Global Supplier Excellence awards for our work.

European Financial Services and Banking company

Service: RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing)

Our Financial Services client in Ireland was suffering from slow internal recruitment processes, and they were losing out on talented candidates because of it. We were asked to come in and help them out. After a thorough audit, we introduced a formal recruitment process and benchmarking of supplier and contractor rates. This is not only saving considerable amounts of time for our client’s line managers, but also increasing the quality of candidates we place. Whereas before our client had an interview to offer ratio of 20:1, with our streamlined processes it is now 2:1. We now handle over 90% of their IT recruitment, and have benchmarked all supplier and contractor rates to save them money year on year.

UK Financial Services company

Service: MSP (Managed Service Programme)

In 2010, our client was involved in a high-profile merger which meant they needed a huge ramp-up in recruitment, with the added pressure of driving down costs and maintaining legal compliance. To help with this tricky transition period, we were appointed to manage their entire contract recruitment, including a huge contractor transition, PSL management, and rate benchmarking. Our seamless, efficient solution has now given our client full visibility of their recruitment spend and performance, as well as the security that they’re getting the best deal from their suppliers. In the first 9 months we saved our client £600k and now manage over 200 contractors onsite.
