Harvey Nash Strengthens Cyber Security Focus for APAC
Tech specialist Bally Binji joins the expanding Harvey Nash APAC team
Singapore, 15th December 2016 - Harvey Nash, the global executive search and leadership services firm, has announced the appointment of Bally Binji as Associate Director of the Technology Practice specialising in Cyber Security. Ms. Binji is based in Harvey Nash's Singapore office.
Ms. Binji has worked in Singapore, Hong Kong and London, with almost two decades of industry experience she offers a unique blend of skills and experience, having worked in enterprise software sales in London. Upon her move to Asia, she moved into executive search utilising her tech domain knowledge to become a specialist head hunter.
Prior to joining Harvey Nash, Ms. Binji was a Director with a technology focused search and talent selection organisation , where she was responsible for the executive search function across APAC working within the fields of Cyber Security, Cloud, Big Data, Analytics, Mobility and Digital.
In her new role with Harvey Nash, she reports to Richard Goddard, Managing Director of Harvey Nash Executive Search South-East Asia. Ms. Binji is responsible for supporting the development of the Technology Practice across the South-East Asia markets, focused on Cyber Security executive roles whilst assisting with the growth across Enterprise Software, Cloud, SaaS, Data Analytics and Social Functions.
CIOs in APAC are faced with more cyber-attacks than their global counterparts, as this year's Harvey Nash/KPMG CIO Survey revealed, 32 per cent of APAC CIOs have responded to a major IT security or a cyber-attack on behalf of their organisation in the last two years, versus 28 per cent globally. Companies are under increasing pressure to manage security concerns. Less than a fifth of CIOs in the region feel confident their organisation is very well prepared to identify and respond to cyber-attack. This latest appointment reinforces Harvey Nash's continued focus on growth in the region in response to increasing client demand for specialist executive level hires and talent mapping services.
"Bally brings valuable insights and a passion to Harvey Nash. Having worked previously within the tech industry in a sales capacity, Bally understands the needs of our clients and candidates, said Richard Goddard, Managing Director, Harvey Nash Executive Search South-East Asia, Head of the APAC Technology Practice. "We are delighted to welcome Bally to our expanding team in Singapore and we are confident she will develop the growth of our technology business across the region".
"I am thrilled to be part of Harvey Nash Executive Search's dynamic team," said Bally Binji, Associate Director, Harvey Nash Executive Search.
