Chief of Surgery, Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service - Australia
Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) is a specialist state wide hospital and health provider which incorporates the world class new facility of the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital (LCCH), the Child and Youth Community Health Service (CYCHS) and the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) as well as specialist paediatric outreach and telehealth services across the state. We play a pivotal role in paediatric research and education through strong links with a number of leading academic institutions and are committed to providing the best possible healthcare for every child and young person in Queensland.
With an ambition to be the highest performing children's provider in Australia, we are looking for two experienced and highly motivated individuals who will provide strong medical leadership and management to two key Divisions of the organisation.
This is a well performing and prestigious service that is widely regarded for the breadth of its specialist services, the calibre of its staff and its performance across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical KPIs. With a secure platform to build on, you will have the opportunity to further enhance and underpin the quality and responsiveness of our services and ensure we remain at the forefront of service excellence. A vital component of the role will involve building vibrant and sustainable external relationships that underpin clinical networking to support the delivery and quality of care in other organisations across Queensland and Australia and to share CHQ's best practice around new models of care and the standardisation of surgical practice. To be successful you will need an outward facing and proactive leadership style and be comfortable in both complex strategical and operational settings with an ability to influence and engage across a broad range of stakeholders.
