What do you enjoy most about working for Harvey Nash?
I like finding the right person for a specific position, which is always a new challenge. But what I enjoy the most is meeting and getting to know people.
Would you recommend Harvey Nash to family and friends?
Without a doubt!
How would you describe the atmosphere at Harvey Nash?
The atmosphere in my team is great. We are not just colleagues but became friends over time. We trust each other 100%.
What is your current role?
I am an IT & Life Sciences Consultant.
What does a typical day involve for you?
Catching up on job applications, publishing new vacancies, contacting candidates, scheduling interviews, accompanying candidates to interviews, collecting feedback from our clients, getting in touch with our clients to discuss future vacancies proactively, ... to name a few.
What's the most unusual skill you've acquired so far?
I wouldn't say it's unusual but I have learned how to know whether a candidate is potentially a good match for a role in a short time.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
Some vacancies are very specific and require a rare profile. The challenge is to understand what the candidate will have to know in terms of technologies. For someone who doesn't have an IT background like me that can be a challenge from time to time. But I like challenges
How is the contact with your Recruiter / Account Manager?
Very good. We are a great team!
What are your favourite websites?
I use LinkedIn a lot, because it is a way to be in touch with people on a professional basis. I like "datanews", because it has the latest news in IT, not just on a global but also on a national level. I also follow a couple of bloggers in different industries, such as IT, HR and lifestyle.
What was your childhood dream job?
I always wanted to become a journalist when I was young. Discovering and sharing new things. The idea of a dream job has changed over the years but today I am motivated when getting up in the morning, which to me is a good sign!
