Messercola engaged SunGard’s New Jersey team to develop and present the solution. Leveraging Messercola’s knowledge of SunGard’s business and the team’s combined managed services experience, they were able to create a value-added proposal that immediately got the attention of the SunGard IT management team. According to SunGard’s Vice President of North-east Operations, Leonard Guddemi, Harvey Nash’s extensive knowledge of SunGard’s business and its strategic approach to supporting managed services are the reasons Harvey Nash won the multi-year engagement. “Harvey Nash showed that they understood our needs and presented the right level of thought leadership, creativity and flexibility that gave us confidence we were choosing the right partner,” says Guddemi. In September 2005 Harvey Nash took onsite management responsibility for SunGard’s New Jersey tape operations staff for this special high availability engagement. The staff
includes an onsite managed services supervisor, a team leader and ten tape operators. The Harvey Nash operations team took steps to ensure that the transition to their organisation was as smooth as possible, To date, Harvey Nash has exceeded all service-level agreements
