Welcome to the Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity’s Microsite. I hope it will tell you all you need to know about the Charity, the Hospital and the communities it supports, and will encourage you to apply to become a Trustee.
The Charity has been independent for nearly three years and our governance and operations are now wholly separate from the hospital’s administration. We are growing apace and are moving into a new era.
We are looking for one new trustee to be appointed in the autumn, and another, with a link to, and some knowledge of the NHS to be appointed from May 1st 2009. Our advertisement in the Sunday Times gives details of the kind of person we require and I hope you will feel able to apply for one or other of these vacancies.
The Charity’s current initiatives include a project to operate the enlarged private maternity unit at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, a trading company to take advantage of other commercial opportunities and the support of a new and exciting clinical research project.
There is a lot of innovative, interesting and exciting work to be done supported by a small but committed staff and enthusiastic Trustees.
