Test Analyst / Implementations Analyst needed to join a newly formed Implementations team for a well established organisation based in Newcastle.
- Primarily responsible for managing change, pre-implementation integration testing cycle and ensuring the smooth and successful release of changes and projects into the production environment without unforeseen service-affecting issues.
- Responsible for all change management and release related activities after unit testing through to production, utilising implementation methodology, and engaging with project teams on a day-day basis.
Key areas of responsibility
- Set up staging / pre-production instance for testing for each release
- Control all aspects of releasing change after unit testing through to Production, ensuring that the following are catered for:
* Test plan
* Roll-back plan
* Release plan
* Communication plan
* Training and handover documentation
* Post Release review inputs
* KPI development and improvement plan
* Post release testing in live environments
- Testing all changes thoroughly before flagging as complete to the relevant project manager
- Responsible for scheduling all releases to the test, training and production environments, ensuring quality of release notes and or change requests is secured.
- Executhe release process in accordance to the Release Management schedule
- Raise issues to support the decision-making process to release or roll-back
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Review and improve the release management process to make it simple and effective
- Writing, updating and automating test scripts for all areas.
- Ensure all bugs identified are logged in/resolved using a suitable issue tracking application against each Release.
