Core Network Engineer (UMTS) - London. My client needs an experienced Core Network Engineer to join their existing team. The role will be part field-based and part office-based and the main responsibilities will include: supporting the sales process by identifying opportunities, assisting in qualification/account planning, contributing to proposals etc, acting as the domain expert in the mobile networks and performance management areas , maintaining close relationships with the customer, partners and the company providing feedback to R&D regarding product issues and customer/market requirements.
To succeed in this position you must be have had previous experience in GSM/UMTS Core Network Engineering role with good knowledge of the global mobile telecoms market. Additionally, as the Technical Consultant you will need to demonstrate some of the following: technical knowledge and experience of software tools and enterprise applications, expertise in Core Network technologies, particularly SS7 or SS7 over IP, InterconnecT, customer fault resolution, and service management expertise in UMTS, CDMA, EV-DO, GSM or GPRS technologies.
