| Our client requires a Lead Data Architect to fulfil an initial 3 month contract position. Joining a newly formed Enterprise Architecture Group, the Lead Data Architect will be responsible for the analysis and design of the groups Data Systems Architecture. This will be achieved by interacting closely with other members of the Enterprise Architecture team as well as Business Streams to define the data architecture to support current and future business requirements. You will be responsible for defining and steering strategies for the development of data related infrastructure and processes, such as data warehousing, operational data store, master data management, and metadata models as well as physical data resilience and replication strategies through Information Lifecycle Management type processes integrating into a formal architecture framework. The role will require strategising, designing, architecting and governing the implementation of common data models as well as acting as the subject matter expert in infomration for the Enterprise Architecture Team. As the successful candidate you will have extensive experience of managing data systems architecture definition, change, transition and implementation. You will have expertise in data management from analysis and design through to delivery and operations as well as a broad understanding of architecture frameworks, techniques and notions such as RUP, TOGAF and SOA. You will have experience of transitioning to a shared services within a complex global enterprise organisation. You must have extremely strong communication skills as you will be required to communicate across the entire spectrum of technology users.
