Valuing our Staff
It is our guiding principle that we recruit talented, ambitious people who see us the springboard for their professional career. Through our highly developed recruitment process we ensure that our new recruits are highly motivated to learn new skills and willing to contribute to a developing business.
With the support of our parent company Harvey Nash Group (the UK’s No1 IT recruitment company) our Software Development and BPO (business process outsourcing) services provide new staff with the opportunity to be part of an innovative, international company where they can interact with some of the top companies in the UK.
The recruitment process ensures that we tie in the educational backgrounds of the people (mostly graduates) to the profile of work they will actually perform. By this we ensure that they have the capabilities to contribute quickly, but also find personal growth and development in their career. We also specifically look for high levels of communication and logical thinking skills.
How staff are valued
We are a wholly controlled Harvey Nash business and our staff form part of the wider Harvey Nash Group. We pay an enormous amount of attention to staff welfare to make certain that our staff feel valued, ensure that staff have regular appraisals and that their training and personal development needs are identified and addressed.
Through a benchmarking process we ensure our average salaries for experienced staff are in line with industry standards and are amongst the highest in the area. Our salary packages have been designed to attract and retain talent and in addition to fixed salary, staff can gain through variable pay, based on performance and attendance targets.
Attracting the right staff
We are making Harvey Nash the employer of choice in Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City through our treatment of staff, facilities and ethos and all HR and operational activity is directed towards achieving this aim. We prefer to recruit staff from specific universities and this approach has resulted in a high retention of staff and a forecast attrition rate of less than 7%. The stringent recruitment process then ensures that only those with the right skill sets apply for positions and our recruitment agencies fully understand our work culture and work with us to attract staff with the right fit.
Recruit training
All our successful recruits undergo a modular induction programme. This begins with an induction to the company and its vision and operating methodology. Product training will then include information about the brand of the client they are to work for along with detail about the relevant industry, products and regulatory issues. This will be followed by detailed process training sessions conducted by trainers from the core team. Product training and process training will be tailored to the skill set. Any voice agents would then undergo voice and accent training with one of our external vendors. |
