Business Systems IT Manager

Salary - £75,000 - £80,000
Our client is a market leading business providing innovative home energy management services. Over the last four years they have established themselves as the leading provider of renewables monitoring in the country. The company works with some of the UKs biggest six energy companies and has a very strong presence in the Nordics.
As the business expands in the UK and internationally, it is seeking to appoint a Business Systems Architect responsible for building out a scalable set of business support systems that will integrate with its service software to provide a world beating set of energy services. The role involves utilizing a very strong skill set around repeat billing systems, further, working with business stakeholders to analyze and define the business services architecture, selecting the most appropriate solutions, including package and service selection. The role is responsible for delivery of the business services platform and associated business integration points to 3rd parties, including suppliers and B2B customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and driving forward the business services platform to support their business
- Agreeing with all stakeholders the blueprint business systems architecture and components that need to be built or sourced to support domestic and international business
- Establishing with stakeholders the roadmap and budgets for building out the business services and an evolutionary approach to achieving the roadmap
- Providing Architectural oversight and ensuring that as services and capability is built out, it fits into an integrated long term architectural roadmap, most specifically the Repeat Billing System
- Driving through rigorous analysis of business systems requirements and lifecycle to ensure the business services are fit for purpose
- Championing the business services architecture within the business and ensuring it delivers competitive advantage
- Work with the architecture leads of the product lines to ensure an integrated service is delivered
- Define components of the solution to a point where suppliers or packages can be selected
- Undertake technical due diligence of suppliers as part of supplier selection
- Recommend solutions and suppliers to fulfill the components of the business services platform
- Overall ownership of the business services platform including governance of change
