In this issue: 50th Edition - The Best of the OAM, The Social Media Revolution, Englishman in NY, Best of the Web

Welcome to the 50th edition of the Online Appointments Magazine.

Just over two years ago, we launched a bright new online 'page flipping' magazine dedicated to helping executives navigate the corporate and careers 'jungle'.

At the time even we couldn't have predicted just how much of a 'jungle' it would become, but even in these most difficult of times we hope we have given useful opinions, insight and guidance to help you make important decisions.

Thank you to so many of you who have fed back to us. Whether feedback has come via replying to mails like this one (and replies do go straight through to me, so please keep them coming) or other ways (one person even took the trouble to phone me up and give excellent, detailed feedback - it really made the OAM team's day)... it has been the positivity of the feedback that has kept us investing our time and energy in this magazine.

Harvey Nash doesn't make any revenue from the OAM - in short, this magazine runs off feedback!

A huge thank you also to the whole team who are behind the OAM. Whilst it's my name you see on these editorial emails, there are many others (alas too many to mention here) who have been absolutely key to its success. Thank you to you all.

Actually, thinking about it, they do deserve a mention, so if you can forgive this brief moment of OAM indulgence I've listed their names at the bottom of this mail.

So, what for the next 50 editions? Well, whatever the economy will bring us (surely an upturn yes?), the OAM will continue to innovate. It will continue to use real people (rather than paid for journalists) to bring genuine insight. And it will continue to push the boundaries further of both our editorial content and the technology we use to bring it to you.

Best regards

Rob
