You can't fail to notice the press reports regarding women in employment, whether it's the female unemployment rate or a lack of women in the most senior positions. Much of the media attention has focused on the number of women and debate around whether mandatory quotas are required. In our Inspire survey we move the debate on, by looking not at the numbers, but the value women bring to the board. Read our exclusive results here.
One woman who is going places is Melanie Stubbing, President of Weight Watchers Europe. Weight Watchers is a fascinating company. Much more than just membership organisation it has diversified into products and services and become one of the most trusted and enduring brands. In our podcast we find out from Melanie, formerly of Hasbro and Mattel, what makes her tick and how she's managed to succeed in such a fast paced environment.
Elsewhere, we launch our CIO Events (yes, it's that time of year), there's a new Gen Y blog and we say hello to brand new Harvey Nash Hong Kong
