Supporting Schools in Ireland
In November 2012, the Harvey Nash Ireland office went through an upgrade of computer equipment, and as a result we were left with unused PCs. Due to department cutbacks, many schools around Ireland didn't have access to computers for their students.
This led us to donating a number of PCs to three different schools around Ireland.
- Oranmore National School, Galway
- Monivea Nation School Galway
- Grange Community College
One of our very own technical specialists generously spent his weekends getting the computers ready for use by fully restoring them and making them suitable for the students:
- Conducting a security wipe
- supplied and installed Microsoft Office and Windows
- Installed Antivirus software
- Physically cleaning
In return we received some great feedback from the schools:
"I wish to thank you sincerely for your company's very generous donation of four refurbished computers to our school. You have no idea what this means to the pupils here. They are so excited"
(Principal of Monivea Nation School, Co Galway)
"I would like to thank you most sincerely for your kind donation of four DELL computers to our school. They are presently being used in our class for Moderate Learning Difficulties and our students in this class are absolutely thrilled with them."
(Cora Ni Loinsigh, Board of Management, Calasanctius College, Oranmore, Co. Galway)
