Bill Greenwell - Director
A well-known and respected figure in the executive recruitment field, Bill heads up our Industry & Business Services Practices. With nearly twenty years experience, he has built a formidable reputation for his market knowledge and assignment delivery. A plc-board client contact recently observed that Bill “provides sound and well-informed counsel, which challenges us to rethink some of our assumptions”. This integrity is reflected in his enduring client relationships and repeat business from many blue-chip industrials, including BAE Systems, Invensys and Parker Hannifin, to name a few. Bill spent his formative years at Michael Page plc. In 1997, he joined TMP Worldwide, where he held several Director level roles. He spent the next five years raising the profile of the business; cultivating and winning a number of large and prestigious accounts. He was also busy delivering high level executive search mandates for clients across a range of sectors in the UK and especially throughout mainland Europe. In 2001, Bill was approached by a client, a US-owned strategy consulting firm, to cross the Atlantic and join them as HR and Resourcing Director, responsible for the US, Asia-Pac and Europe. Three years later, he returned to executive search with Norman Broadbent, before deciding to join Harvey Nash in 2006. A graduate in Management Studies and post graduate in Industrial Relations & HR, Bill’s areas of expertise include general manufacturing and engineering, especially defence, aerospace and supply chain. He has recruited MDs, Operations Directors and Marketing and Sales Directors, in addition to HR Directors, CFOs and Supply Chain Directors. Away from work, Bill is an accomplished musician, playing guitar in a ‘modern jazz’ band and is building a collection of interesting instruments. |
