Because several of our clients have explicitly asked us about how we at Harvey Nash are dealing with the swine flu, and what measures we have already taken, we are issuing the following:
Harvey Nash (internal):
Harvey Nash has taken the following practical measures to combat the spreading of the flu amongst its office personnel:
- General information and tips to prevent infection:
- Wash your hands frequently;
- Cover your mouth and nose with a paper tissue when sneezing;
- Take extra care when throwing away these paper tissues;
- If you do not have any paper tissues at hand, cover your mouth and nose;
- Wash your hands immediately!
- If you, or people in your environment, have contracted the flu, consult the general practitioner;
- Linen towels, if any, have been removed (paper tissues are already available in the toilets);
- Dispensers containing disinfected soap have been installed;
- Extra cleaning tasks have been introduced for the cleaning personnel, such as disinfecting door handles and light switches on a daily basis.
If signs of infection are observed, the following procedure must be followed:
- If, based on the symptoms, an employee thinks that he/she has swine flu, he/she must contact the general practitioner immediately, and must follow any instructions given;
- The employee must immediately inform the Personnel department and the immediate superior of the situation;
- As soon has it has become clear whether or not swine flu has been confirmed, the appointed contact person within Harvey Nash must be informed;
- Depending on the function of the employee, it will be determined how, and whether, the employee’s tasks can be continued from home;
- It will also be determined who needs to be informed, both internally and externally.
